Endpoints

This page is generated from the OpenAPI 3.1.0 document the API serves (Scento Perfume API 1.0.0) and from live requests, so the parameter lists and example responses match the running service. Regenerate it with node scripts/generate-endpoints.mjs.

Base URL: https://www.scento.com/api/perfume/v1. All routes are GET, need no key, and take lang (en, de, fr, es, it, ro, el, hu, cs, pl) to choose the language of the scento.com links. List routes take continuation; see Reading an answer for the response shape and errors.

GET /search

Search perfumes, houses and notes. Looks up perfumes, houses and raw materials by name, note or mood word. Use kind to limit the result to one of them. The MCP server answers the same question with the perfume-search tool.

GET /perfumes

Search perfumes, houses and notes. Looks up perfumes by name, house or note. Same search as /search, limited to perfumes. The MCP server answers the same question with the perfume-search tool.

GET /perfumes/{perfume}

Get a perfume's notes and profile. Returns one perfume with its top, heart and base notes, scent family, concentration, character, the seasons and hours it suits, and its signature materials. A name that is not in the database still answers 200, with found: false and suggestions. The MCP server answers the same question with the perfume-portrait tool.

GET /perfumes/{perfume}/neighbours

Find similar perfumes. Returns perfumes that share notes and structure with the one you name, with the shared notes and a line on how each differs. Similarity here means shared notes, not that two perfumes are the same. The MCP server answers the same question with the scent-neighbours tool.

Compare perfumes side by side. Puts two to four perfumes side by side: house, family, pyramid, shared materials, character, seasons, hours, year and concentration. The MCP server answers the same question with the perfume-contrast tool.

GET /wardrobe

Build a fragrance wardrobe. Builds a small wardrobe of three to five perfumes for different moments from perfumes or materials someone loves, and leaves out what they want to avoid. The MCP server answers the same question with the wardrobe-composer tool.

Parameters

`avoid`	query	list of string (0-6)	no	Perfumes, materials or families to leave out, comma-separated.
`size`	query	integer	no	How many perfumes, 3 to 5. Whole number from 3 to 5. Default `3`.
`lang`	query	string	no	Language of the scento.com links and labels. Answers stay in English. One of `en`, `de`, `fr`, `es`, `it`, `ro`, `el`, `hu`, `cs`, `pl`. Default `en`.
